Same with the gardening and seeing something grow, first time lately that I've really bothered.

Our garden had that Japanese knotweed (cheers neighbours!) for over 10 years and during that time most of my time was spent trying to get rid of that knotweed and generally keeping it tidy, rather than having the time to plant things as well.

Put some corn flowers in a couple weeks back, (they've got something about them), and whether they come through and flower has become a real 'thing'

I found my very first Panini album from 1976 and thanks to eBay it's finally complete!

Unsurprisingly a couple of the stickers refused to let their backs come off so these had to be Pritt-sticked in.

This Euro Football collection also has a really cool Trevor Brooking sticker.

All transports me back to a fantastic time to be both a child and a WHU fan, although the relegation of 1978 was a proper heartbreaker.

I grow chillis and tomatoes every year and thought that particular one would brighten up the kitchen.

I have the very same one on my kitchen window sill and have five little plants.
I used to hate gardening but love it now. Converting my front lawn into a wild flower meadow this year (seeded it last autumn) for the insects and birds. Looks promising so far.

😁

My parents used to grow fruit and veg when I was a kid. I've just never lived anywhere with a proper garden since I left home. They had a row of gooseberry plants that gave what my mum called 'dessert gooseberries'. They were much bigger than the small, tart, 'cooking' versions and had a more golden colour and much sweeter. They were gorgeous. I've never seen them since, not in gardens or in the shops.

Nurse.

My Mrs is an amazing gardner, studied for 5 years and has the Australian version of letters after her name. She grows incredibky tasty veg and it is an absolute delight taking them from the ground and bunging them in the pot.

Apparently early Star Wars toys in good nick are very sought after now.

I gave all of mine to my nephew way back...

Re: Things you've unearthed in lock down
Last month on a whim, I bought an 'indoor' ceramic planter and chilli seeds kit while I was shopping in Waitrose. Complete impulse buy. I have a garden the size of a stamp that gets no sun and has about two inches of topsoil thrown over the building rubble when they built this house. Even before I moved here, I had never grown a thing in my life. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I planted the seeds in the indoor planter, not expecting it to work because my window sills aren't exactly flooded with light either. I am now captivated and thoroughly charmed to find 5-6 little green shoots with sweet little leaves coming up. I have no idea why I have never done this sort of thing before. Just kicking myself I've left it too late to get more seeds and planters for indoor use. I don't even care if the plants fail to fruit. I'm just elated I made something grow.
